Dario
Mejia
Dario Mejia has been following his
dreams ever since he was young. He started his formal dance training
at the age of eight and has been pursuing this career path ever
since. Receiving training through Larkin Dance Studio and graduating
from Mahtomedi High School with honors, he became well prepared
for his future in the world of dance. This lead him to become a
National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts award winner
for dance in 2000. Dario continued his education at the Julliard
School in Manhattan to later join the Mark Morris Dance Group.
Recently, Dario performed in the film “Across the Universe,” one
of the few movies still “Made in NYC,” with director
Julie Taymor and choreographer Danny. Striving to establish himself
as a choreographer and performer, Dario has returned to Minnesota
Dance Theatre where he will continue to pursue a career in dance.
