HEARTBEAT PERFORMING COMPANIES
Heartbeat Studios’ performing companies provide a year-round
opportunity for dancers to perform in front of an audience and to
work as part of a team while improving their dance skills. Companies
perform locally at prestigious venues and occasional out of state
performances such as cruise ships! Company members are required
to pay a fee to cover uniforms and other costs associated with company
work. Company dancers are required to take an advance class
in their chosen discipline and a Dance Technique or Ballet class
in addition to their Company rehearsal.
The goals of the companies are:
- To give students opportunities to perform.
- To develop self-respect and respect for others.
- To promote good self-esteem and confidence.
- To promote good self-image.
- To learn professional performance behavior.
- To learn life skills, including responsibility, punctuality,
commitment, and the importance of teamwork.
- To have fun and help each dancer explore their own passion
for dance!
